Study Of The Earth

Explore our geology programs

Geology is a study of the physical, biological, and chemical aspects of the Earth. Our students are trained to work as professional geologists in the oil, mining, and environmental industries, as well as in local and state government agencies. Our curriculum is designed to match the skills tested by the Geologist-In-Training ASBOG examination administered by the Mississippi State Board of Professional Geologists. Our Geology graduates perform above the national average for the ASBOG licensing exam.
