National Fossil Day 2018 Contest

Reptiles of the Mesozoic Era

During Earth Science Week (October 14-20), the Dunn-Seiler celebrates National Fossil Day on October 17, 2018. This year, National Fossil Day features reptiles of the Mesozoic Era.

The Dunn-Seiler Museum’s Fossil Art & Story Contest focuses upon reptiles of Mesozoic Mississippi—including mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs, crocodiles… and more! We invite you to sketch, draw, or create one of the extinct reptiles that lived in our state during the Mesozoic Era, or about 250 million years to 65 million years ago.
