Tim Wallace
Tim Wallace holds a M.S in Geosciences from Mississippi State. In past lives he has worked as a support technician for a banking software company and as an inspector for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. His most recent job was an eight-year stint as an instructor at the University of Tennessee-Martin. This will mark his third tour with MSU as an instructor, his second in the Distance Learning Program. With regards to teaching, it is easier to list the meteorology courses he has not taught or facilitated.
Mr. Wallace is an avid storm chaser. He has chased in almost every state east of the Rockies and west of the Mississippi River, and in the southeast U.S. He has seen tornadoes in more than 10 states and two hurricanes: Lili (2002), Isabel (2003). It is a tremendous way to both experience the power of nature and tour the country. When he is not teaching or chasing, Mr. Wallace likes to watch sports (football and baseball, mainly), read action/adventure stories and science fiction, sell things on Ebay, and sleep.
