Petroleum Experts donates more than $5M in software licenses to MSU’s Department of Geosciences and the Bagley College of Engineering

Petroleum Experts (Petex) has renewed and increased the donation of educational licenses of their MOVE software suite to the Mississippi State University Department of Geosciences and their IPM software suite to the Bagley College of Engineering.
The combined valuation of both the MOVE and IPM software licenses donated by Petroleum Experts (Petex) totals $5,311,481.87.
For the Department of Geosciences, the MOVE licenses include MOVE, 2D Kinematic, 3D Kinematic, Geomechanical Modelling, Fracture Modelling, Fault Response Modelling, Fault Analysis, Stress Analysis, Move Link Petrel, Move Link OpenWorks and Move Link GST.
The software will be utilized within senior undergraduate and graduate split-level courses as well as educational research initiatives performed within MSU’s Department of Geosciences.
MSU’s College of Arts and Sciences includes more than 5,200 students, 323 full-time faculty members, nine doctoral programs, 15 master’s programs, and 27 undergraduate academic majors offered in 14 departments. It also is home to the most diverse units for research and scholarly activities, including natural and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and the humanities.
