GIS Day Events

Tuesday November 13th, 2018
  • 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Geocaching – A Geospatial Treasure Hunt. 109 Hilbun Hall (there will be a Prize for the winner)
  • 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Geospatial Techniques in Research –Poster Session, 310 Hilbun Hall
  • 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Guest Lecture:  “Using GIS Data and GPS Mapping to Expedite Area Recovery From Natural Disasters ” by Toby Sanford, - 350 Hilbun Hall (light refreshments will be provided)
  • 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM: A Panel Discussion on “Geospatial Applications, Opportunities and the Future” ( light refreshments will be provided) – 350 Hilbun Hall; panelists: Dr. Shrinidhi Ambinakudige, Dr. John Rodgers; Dr. Qingmin Meng; Dr. Taylor Shelton; Dr. Ganesh Bora; Dr. Shane Miller & Dr. Jia Yang
