Visit by NGA Subject Matter Experts

March 22-24, 2016

MSU was designated as an NGA/USGS Geospatial Sciences (GS) Center of Academic Excellence (CAE). The Geosciences department directs the programs at MSU and will host Washington D.C.-based Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) this week (March 22-24, 2016). The SMEs will be here to discuss our courses and curricula, provide input to the continued development and modification our existing Geospatial Science courses and programs and to learn more about what MSU and the Department of Geosciences offers students that are interested in Geospatial careers. Students and faculty both will learn more about intelligence community needs and skill sets that can lead student internships and possibilities for permanent employment.

The subject matter experts here this week include:
• NGA CAE Program Manager and Liaison
• Fusion Team Chief – NGA IT Transformation Services Group (TA)
• NGA Imagery Scientists
• GEOINT Analysts – Human Geography (Linguistic)
