I am from Canada (between Niagara Falls and Toronto), and I love to ski, skate, and forecast winter weather. Living in Mississippi has certainly limited my skiing in recent years. I ran cross country and track for Houghton College for 4 years (went to Nationals 3 times), and I still try to run several times a week.

My wife Heather is from Syracuse, NY. She taught special ed. for three years, but she is currently teaching 7th and 8th grade History and English, as well as Spanish II, at Hebron Christian Academy. We both assist with leading the youth group at Emmanuel Church.

My research interests include thermodynamic environments associated with lake effect snow
and mesoscale bands of heavy snow within synoptic scale systems. I am all about snow!
