Linking modern and ancient marine depositional environment in Mississippi

On April 8-10, 2016 graduate and undergraduate students from the Department of Geosciences Sedimentary Depositional Environments 2 course participated in a field trip focused on linking modern and ancient marine depositional environment in Mississippi. Field work was conducted at Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Mississippi Sound, Dauphin Island, and Eocene outcrops near Meridian, Mississippi.
