Map of the Silk Road

Collaboration project with the Departments of Art and History

Dr. Shrinidhi Ambinakudige has been working in collaboration with people from the Departments of Art and History to create a map of the Silk Road for an upcoming exhibit called "Silk Unraveled: A Revealing Look at the History and Use of Silk Fabrics." The exhibit has been coordinated by the University Museum and Galleries Committee and will feature objects from the Entomology, Cobb Archaeology, Historic Textiles and Herbarium collections.

The exhibit will be open between March 3rd and 29th, 2016, in the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery on the Mississippi State University Campus. Normal gallery hours are from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. You are invited to attend the exhibition opening reception on Thursday, March 3rd from 5pm-6:30pm.
